What does In My Heart Serendib Foundation do?
In My Heart Serendib Foundation is a not for profit organisation based in Frankston Australia.
Our work helps to support children in disadvantaged communities in Sri Lanka with resources they need for their education. We also assist by providing sanitary products for girls and women in these disadvantaged communities.
Back in Australia, the Foundation works tirelessly collecting donations of items for the children’s education, holding numerous fundraising activities and organising the packing and shipment of the goods to Sri Lanka.
Through our IMHS Charity Op Shop in Frankston, we are able to raise funds to support the cause.
VOLUNTEER WITH IN MY HEART SERENDIB FOUNDATION
Volunteer at IMHS Op Shop
helping in the op shop for a few hours per week (or more!)
sorting donated school goods for the children
Sewing at HQ
We provide sanitary products for women & girls in Sri Lanka and need assistance with basic sewing of these items
Volunteer Handyman
We have both the Op Shop and HQ where things sometimes need fixing! If you'd like to volunteer some time to help out as a handyman please get in touch!
Transportation
We often need goods transported between the Op Shop and HQ. We would love anyone with a van or ute who can provide a couple of hours of your time to tranport these goods!
Administration Assistance
Working with the committee to do admin work as required
Committee of Management
The foundation holds four meetings per year plus an AGM and are looking for additional members to join the committee.
